Sorghum Mill
Nestled into the prairie landscape of Oklahoma, Sorghum Mill is a home for an aging couple and rural retreat for their large family. The house is organized into two trapezoidal volumes filled with private quarters for the extended family that are stacked upon a ground floor containing the living areas. A sweeping curved wall connects the two wings, creating tension between the base and top as it meanders in and out from underneath the upper volumes to create a covered entry, carport, and window awning.
