Located in the historic Rutherford Building in the Upper West Side, the apartment has been reinterpreted for casual living and entertaining while maintaining its original charming formality. A series of elliptical archways punctuate the space, pulling focus from the entryway into the living room and through the kitchen to the private spaces beyond. The design reconfigures awkwardly proportioned rooms to create generous living and dining areas with arched openings that spread natural light and allow Hudson River views through adjoining rooms.
